Caddo’s Seven Word Sundays!

caddo-7-word

This post is dedicated to our good friend Sis Caddo. Although she is temporary hiatus, my prayer is that she will remember how much we all love her, and I will continue with the Sis “Caddo’s Seven Word Sundays!” until she returns to us. Meanwhile, I know that she still stops by to visit her friends, and so in honor of Sis Caddo, who really loves acrostics, I tried my hand at an acrostic below. God bless you BIG Sis Caddo, we love you!!! 😀 Continue reading Caddo’s Seven Word Sundays!

Caddo’s 7-Sentence Story—was something I began at the now-defunct Caddo Veil blog.  No reason a’ tall we can’t do it here–once a month, give or take.

If you’re up for a challenge, write a story in 7 sentences and post it on your blog–then leave a link to it here in the comment box, so others can enjoy it.  Feel free to use the beautiful “button”, which our very talented friend Cee made for me!

Hallelujah! I’m up for the challenge… Below is my submission to Sis Caddo’s Seven Sentence Story, and if you click this link, you can see Sis Caddo’s most excellent submission, plus anyone else who may have a submission… Perhaps you would like to join in the fun too? Many blessings, my beloved readers!

Hallelujah! I’m so glad Sis Caddo’s Seven Word Sundays are back, because they bless me. 😀 Therefore, without further ado, I give you my seven words…

Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord!

21 And he said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

~ Job 1:21-22 — NKJV ~

From a Humble Perspective

Praise the Lord! Sis Caddo Veil wrote several nonets, which were so moving, that I just had to try also. For those who don’t know, a nonet is 9 syllables on the first line, going down to 8 the next, 7 next, and so on, all the way down to 1 syllable on the last line. I tried doing one of these earlier today, and it was such fun, that I decided to have a go at it again, with this second writing prompt…

Tilda, I know you said to choose one of the following prompts, but I couldn’t make up my mind because I liked them all, so I decided to use them all! Many blessings!

I Am A Moth

English: moth on a surface

I am a lowly moth seemingly
Fragile and frail with gossamer
Wings, but look again, and see
My frailty’s but a ruse
A disguise to hide
Destruction I
Bring to
You

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where they can be eaten by moths and get rusty, and where thieves break in and steal.” ~ Matthew 6:19 NLT ~

I Am A Thorn

I am a thorn, sharp, pointed, painful
Be careful or I will pierce you
My wounds can be quite deadly
I pierced the Savior’s brow
Blood ran down His face
Beware – I have
No mercy
I’ll trap
You

“But I will fence her in with thornbushes. I will block the road to make her lose her way.” ~ Hosea 2:6 NLT ~

I Am A Small Gray Feather

I am a small gray feather, soft, light
Though gentle and warm, there is strength
Come, My beloved and hide
In My shadow and wings
I will cradle you
Defend, protect
Rest safely
In Me
Come

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. ~ Psalm 91:4 NKJV ~

Dandelion

I Am A Little Weed

I am a little weed, a nuisance
Try to get rid of me, kill me
But I will return, stronger
Meaner, more determined
I will destroy you
Suffocate you
Temptations
Better
Run!

Here is another story Jesus told: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. But that night as everyone slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat. When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. The farmer’s servants came and told him, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds!’

“‘An enemy has done it!’ the farmer exclaimed.”

‘Shall we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.

“He replied, ‘No, you’ll hurt the wheat if you do. Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds and burn them and to put the wheat in the barn.'” ~ Matthew 13:24-30 NLT ~

I AM Here

Though waves billow as the storm rages
Crashing against the rocks, they crush
All of your dreams, dash your hopes
Desperate, you look up
And cry, “Jesus help!
Deliver me!”
“Peace, be still
I AM
Here.”

Praise the Lord! This is a nonet, inspired from one of my blogging friends, Sis Caddo Veil. I had never heard of a nonet before I read Sis Caddo’s, and hers just blessed my socks off and inspired me to try my hand at it.

Many thanks to Tilda for sharing this awesome picture prompt, which was totally inspiring and beautiful.
