To Be A Man Or Woman After God’s Heart…

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. 10 Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.

As I was studying about the armor of God today, one of the cross references led me to 2 Corinthians 6:7. Now I’m not one to just read the verse that the cross references lead me to, because I like to read the scriptures in their entire context, so that I get a clear understanding of what is being said. Therefore, I quickly discovered that in order to understand what Paul (the author of 2 Corinthians) was talking about, I needed to read 2 Corinthians 6:3-10. Then, as I read this passage of scripture, it just pierced my heart, causing me to examine my heart and my commitment to the Lord, and I knew that before I could go any farther in my study of the armor of God, I needed to ponder on this passage, and share it with you, my beloved readers. Therefore, I’m just going to delve into this bit by bit, until we reach the end… Continue reading To Be A Man Or Woman After God’s Heart…

Clarion Call

This is a clarion call for the men and women of God. The election is over, and this is a grievous time in the United States of America. Actually, either way the election would have gone makes it a calamitous time for our nation. Didn’t anyone notice that neither candidate was a friend of God?

So why the clarion call? I believe that the Lord has been gracious and merciful to a nation that hates Him. Do you think my words are too strong? Jesus said, ” He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” (Matthew 12:30 NKJV) The New Living Translation makes the word plain for us, “Anyone who isn’t helping Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me.”

Don’t  you see men and women of God? Neither candidate is working for God. America rejected the True and Living God, long before this election. And they didn’t want Mitt Romney’s false god either. The fact is, the people of this nation want to serve their own depraved nature – they have become their own gods…

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. (Romans 13:1 NLT) People, hear the Word of the Lord. He has given the people of this nation exactly what they wanted, just as He placed King Saul in charge of Israel. This nation is getting ready to go through a time of tribulation like we’ve never seen before, but don’t fear!

Now is truly the time to count the cost, forsake all else and pick up our crosses and follow Christ. We will be despised by people that we thought were friends and family. The church is about to undergo a time of persecution, but FEAR NOTPut on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:11-13 NLT)

It’s time to stop arguing with those who see things differently than you do. It’s time to stop fighting against people. Our war is not against people who don’t agree with our political views. Politics cannot save us from the wrath to come. Pray that we will be like trees planted by the waters – unmovable and unshakable. Don’t trust in man to save us!

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. (Jeremiah 17:8-9 NKJV)

Men and women of God, it’s time to stop playing church! It’s time to stop following leaders who are wolves in sheep’s clothing, seeking to devour you. Seek the Lord for yourself. Search His word. Seek His face. Live a holy life dedicated to the Lord. Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1-2 NASB)

And finally brothers and sisters, pray that we will be found faithful in these last and evil days!

May the Lord bless you!
